About Me

Growing up, the only thing I loved more than digging in the dirt was reading a good book. I grew up in Savannah, Georgia, and spent all my time climbing trees, catching bugs, and immersing myself in fictional worlds. When the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the beginning of my college career, I relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee. While living there, I had the opportunity to volunteer as a farmhand with the City Farms Grower Coalition. It was in the small baseball field-turned-urban farm that I fell in love with agriculture. Watching the seeds I planted grow into food that fed the community, I felt for the first time like the work I was doing was making an impact.

Throughout the past four years at Agnes Scott College, I continued seeking this feeling of personal efficacy, volunteering at my local community garden in Decatur, and interning at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. I look forward to using the skills I’ve developed at Agnes Scott as an English major with an Environmental Science minor to continue working towards a more sustainable, community-based food system.
